My Tea Recipe

How I used Maroon Bush

Perhaps the greatest anecdotal "claim to fame" for Maroon Bush extract (tea) has been people who have used it to assist them in dealing with cancer. There are also those who have used it for a range of other health issues. My personal use now is as a booster for the immune system. It comes in very usefull if there are colds, flus or other bugs doing the rounds.

Please note that the 100 ml 3 times a day suggested below is a heavy duty dose for the more "traditional" use for cancer and the like. For general health and immune system boosting this can be reduced and taken on a more random basis when there is a need.

Instructions for making tea extract:

* Soak 50g Maroon Bush Tea bag in 2 or 2.5 litres of water for a few hours or overnight
* Bring water with the tea bag in it to a simmer / light boil for a few minutes
* Pour off into a container and store in the fridge (it is sometimes a good idea to store half in the freezer to keep it fresh while using the first half).

Historically people, including myself, have used about 100 ml 3 times per day. (For me the results were quite dramatic, though I was not using it for cancer.)

Maroon Bush Tea Concentrate

Each 150 ml bottle contains the concentrated tea extract from two 50 gram Tea Bags plus 5 - 10%. This means that to match the serve sizes suggested above you would need to use a total of 10 ml of concentrate per day. I recommend making up 200 to 300 ml of juice or water with the 10 ml's added and use this throughout the day. If you wish to make three individual serves though the day the label on the Bottles suggests 3.5 ml per serve. As noted below, add this to water or juice to taste.

Based on 3.5 ml three times per day, each bottle will last you 2 weeks. It will generally keep this long in a good fridge, but if you wish to keep it super fresh it can be good to freeze half while using the first part. This will ensure there are no keeping problems. If you do this, make sure when you thaw it out that it is totally thawed as it may be very crystaline and sharp when partly frozen.

If the cap is tight to undo hold the cap and neck of the bottle under hot running water for about a minute to help break the seal.

The concentrate is made using our good, country rainwater, so there are no concentrated residues of chemical or the like.

_____________

Note: The tea is not exactly nice tasting, but I take it with dark grape juice to improve the taste. Pomegranate juice is also very suitable and is reportedly very beneficial when dealing with prostate cancer.

Please remember: People who used Maroon Bush in the past recognized that it was not a medically proven product, and the benefits to you may be different than that claimed by others.

Based on this recipe a 50 gram maroon bush Tea bag will provide enough tea for approximately one week. A pack of 6 X 50 g bags will do about 6 weeks. I also recommend using each tea bag a second time for a weak extra dose.
